Because of Omnis, I lost my domain (which is my own name!). In early September, I transfered my domain to Omnis.com. The company received my payment, but two months later I was still unable to complete the transfer or manage my domain. I complained on several occasions through their "support" email, which was a total waste of time. No one had a clue what the problem was - or how to solve it. Ever since the problem started, I've been checking the status of my domain. It always appeared as unavailable, so I was unable to renew it. But now, much to my shock, it appears that the domain (my own name) is registered by a company in Kenya, which is probably trying to make a buck at my expense - thanks to Omnis's incompetence.

I contacted Omnis to ask they solve the problem they caused and got a message from James Fromm, vice president of operations, saying "unfortunately this situation is quite common" and there is nothing they can (or will) do.
